21 Peaceful Protestors Who Used Their Brains To Make Their Case, Not Brawn.

21 Peaceful Protestors Who Used Their Brains To Make Their Case, Not Brawn.

LIFE
Some people may think protests are pointless. Over the years, though, protests from concerned citizens have led to important changes. Women's suffrage, equal civil rights, and the foundation of the United States of America were the results of protests. While some protesters have used violent means, there are those out there who prefer a more peaceful approach to change. And the best peaceful protest is definitely a clever one. It's far better to force people to think than resort to brutal forcefulness. 1.) This is actually a great idea. An Open Letter to the Jerk Who Abandoned this Dog

An Open Letter to the Jerk Who Abandoned this Dog

LIFE
When Cocoa was dropped off at the pound, she was left with a note. Her owner claimed to be abandoning her companion of 12 years simply because they were moving to a pet-free environment. It turns out, the owner was abandoning their family member... because she was sick. Hello. You don’t know me, and for your sake, you’d best hope and pray that you never have the misfortune to meet me. How do I know your name? Because the people at animal control gave me Cocoa’s intake sheet. You know, the one you filled out. The one that said Cocoa was 12 years old and you’d had her all those years. The one that said you were moving to a pet-free apartment and couldn...
If You Ever Send Your Kid To Summer Camp, Hopefully You’ll Get A Letter This Funny.

If You Ever Send Your Kid To Summer Camp, Hopefully You’ll Get A Letter This Funny.

LIFE
Going away to camp for the summer is a dream come true for many children. It's an opportunity to be completely independent from parents, to make new friends and to experience the world. Other children, though, might not think it's so charming. One Redditor's brother had to go away to camp. A little while after he left, his family received the following letter from Josh. Apparently, he wasn't enjoying camp as much as they thought. This kid is going to make it big one day. He has a way with words. (H/T Reddit) The boy begrudgingly wrote the letter home so he could eat (although, at this point it's possible he was just being dramatic). You have to respect that, though. This is a little man that thinks outside the box and refuses to conf...

Kids Sent Out These Birthday Cards That Were Sweet, But Hilarious.

LIFE
It may not be your birthday today, but these adorable cards from children will give you cause for celebration. There's something about the innocence and sincerity behind them that makes the cards so sweet and funny. Granted, most of what these kids wrote seems downright insane on the surface...but you know they had good intentions. ...but I can't stop laughing! Getting Attacked By A Great White Shark Is Exactly As Scary As You’d Imagine.

LIFE
BREAKING: getting attacked by one of the most fearsome predators in the world is scary. (Shocking, I know.) No matter how much you prepare yourself for a potential shark attack, you're still going to be absolutely terrified if it ever happens. Just see for yourself. This video was captured by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's REMUS "SharkCam." Safe in your own home, you can experience what has to be the worst encounter the deep, blue sea has to offer. (H/T Slate) Although great white sharks are naturally terrifying, there have been only about 74 documented unprovoked, fatal attacks on humans. Still, after seeing this, you might want to stick to swimming in shallow waters...just in case. Share this scary footage with others by clicking on the button below. ...

Horrifying Things Your Children Could Accidentally Swallow. Hello, Paranoia!

LIFE
There are labels on almost everything you buy (especially from Ikea), warning you the product contains small objects. Said products usually warn you not to let small children swallow those pieces. The typical response would be, "Yeah! I mean, obviously, right?" When you have kids, though, you realize that when your children have insatiable hunger for small things, they can (and probably will) choke on them. Don't freak out, though. Even though your little ones will try their hardest to choke on these things, we're here to help you avoid the panic attacks. 1.) There Is Something Incredible About This Percussion Band. Its Members Are Deaf.

LIFE
Most people believe that the deaf can't appreciate music, much less make music. However, those people are about to be proved wrong. This amazing percussion band from Singapore called ExtraOrdinary Horizons is made up of young musicians and singers, all of which are deaf. Watch as they lay down some serious beats in their music video below, called Deaf, Loud and Proud. I had no idea this was even possible! (Source: Our Better World) ExtraOrdinary Horizons was founded by singer Lily Goh, who was a deaf participant in the very first season of Singapore Idol, back in 2004. The aim of ExtraOrdinary is to bring about awareness and knowledge about the deaf community in Singapore to the rest of the world, and help them better integrate into mainstream society and to be a...

This 99 Year Old WWII Veteran Died Alone Without Family. That’s When Kindness Took Over.

LIFE
Harold Jellicoe (“Coeâ€) Percival died at the age of 99, entirely alone. He was a celebrated World War II veteran and bomber commander. He wouldn't have anyone to attend his funeral service, so a soldier injured while serving in Afghanistan, Sgt Rick Clement, was determined to make sure he was given a proper send off. The response his plea received was incredible. The WWII veteran's memorial service will be held today, on 11/11/2013. He didn't have anyone that would attend the service, so a Reddit user reached out to find people to support this veteran. His death notice read: “A single man, Harold has no close family who can attend his funeral. He served in RAF Bomber Command as ground crew duri...
