Advertisements are apart of our daily lives. We see it everywhere. On TV, the ride into work, even on the clothes we wear. Think about all the times you put on a shirt from some big designer, with a subtle brand logo on the shirt. Or when you put on a pair of heels with a red bottom. Advertisement, especially logos, is everywhere. And that's why we take them for granted. Because many are ingeniously designed, yet we never realize it.  Or appreciate just how clever they are. Well now's your chance, check them out... 1. Curious. 2. Horror Films. 3. Chair. 4. Apple 5. Fish Food. ...

The bathroom is typically not a place that people show off much. Having fancy soaps and oils is nice. Some people even have really neat faucets. If you're going to make a bathroom awesome, you'll probably focus on adding a really cool shower or tub... but what about the toilet? After you see this, you'll know how much potential the porcelain throne has. It's not just for making #1 and #2... you can make a statement with your toilet. These people are so doing things right. 1.) For the pooping adrenaline junkie. 2.) It might not be fully functional, but it's cool. 3.) Confusing and elegant. That's steampunk. 4.) L...

This Artist Led A Tortured Life, But It Wasn’t As Creepy As His Paintings…

CULTURE
Zdzisaw Beksiski's paintings are more than a little creepy. You might call them downright disturbing. Beksiski was a Polish painter and sculptor who specialized in the field of "Utopian Art." For years, Beksiski made a life for himself creating his unique brand of grim, gothic paintings. Things took a sharp turn for Beksiski in the late 1990s. His wife died in 1998, and his son committed suicide on Christmas Eve 1999. Beksiski never recovered from the death of his son. A little over five years later in February 2005, Beksiski was murdered in his Warsaw apartment. He received 17 stab wounds, two of which proved fatal. With such a tragic ending, it's no wonder that Beksiski works are so strangely creepy.  1.) A blood red sunrise. ...

Next time you're in the market for a unique, million dollar home, don't just look for normal mansions and penthouses. There are so many houses on the market that don't look like houses at all. That makes them even more impressive!  Take these unique abodes for example. Once these towers were drained of the water they originally held, they became some of the world's most epic houses. If you're interested in one of these amazing places, though, you might want to make sure your bank account is over-flowing. Living in unique luxury isn't cheap. 1.) Spontaneous Eels, Living Planets and Monstrous Women: Aristotle’s Was Crazy.

Spontaneous Eels, Living Planets and Monstrous Women: Aristotle’s Was Crazy.

CULTURE
Aristotle was one of the greatest thinkers of all time. He even wrote works--Politics, Poetics and Metaphysics--that are still taught today. He wrote on a wide variety of sciences, including cosmology, physics, biology and chemistry. He developed the concept of empirical reality, in which theories are tested based on the evidence of our senses. He also collected information on thousands of species of plants and animals. But he wasn't perfect, and he was a product of a very different time and culture. Some of the things he believed formed the foundations for studies and disciplines thousands of years in the future. Other things, well, not quite so much. Here's a look at some of the things that we, thankfully, have decided not to take Aristotle's word for. 1. Women are deficient...

CULTURE
The baobab tree, otherwise known as an adansonia, is a large species of tree that is native to parts of Africa and the surrounding areas. The Sunland Baobab is one of the most famous baobab trees (and there is something awesome hiding inside of it). It's located in South Africa in the Limpopo Province and is known for being one of the largest and oldest baobabs. It's so big across, you could fit a bar inside. ... So someone did. No, seriously. The Sunland Baobab is naturally hollow on the inside and was not artificially hollowed out. The bar was created in 1933 and is located on a farm owned by the Van Heerden family. Beyond the tiny entrance... ...

If you don't have a costume for Halloween yet, you better get to thinking about one as soon as possible. Sure, it's weeks away, but if you want to have one that's a fraction as good as the costumes these kids have, you're already behind. The ideas these children (and, yes, their parents) came up with are super fun, freaky, and always impressive. You won't believe some of the things they thought up and you'll be blown away by the execution. These are some top-notch costumes. Take a look!     1.) Albert Einstein Imgur 2.) Being tricked doesn't always have to be a bad thing. In fact, sometimes it can be downright delightful. French artist Gilbert Legrand tries to fool people with his art in the most adorable way (and he succeeds). Gilbert transforms the mundane into something awesome by just applying a few coats of acrylic paint. He takes normal objects, like tools and household items, and changes them entirely with the little details he adds. It's impressive how easily his pieces can trick your mind. See for yourself: He turns scissors into lovers. Gilbert Legrand And door hinges into shady men in trench coats. Gilbert Legrand This rat used to be a spr...

People say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but what happens when those pictures decay or are destroyed over time? There is a place on the social media site Reddit.com that is dedicated to restoring meaningful photos to their former glory... for free. These online good samaritans help people restore their precious keepsakes for nothing but a thank you. Below are the requests that were posted and then the "after" photos. Some are very impressive restorations. "My beloved 87 year old grandmother passed away yesterday. The funeral is on Saturday and It would mean the world if someone could restore this photo of her for the service." "A photo of my friend that his parents would like...

This Hotel Has The Best View In The World… And You Can Stay There For Free!

CULTURE
Most people will shell out the big bucks in order to stay in a hotel with a gorgeous view. After all, vacations are so much better when you're inspired as soon as you wake up! Expensive, five-star hotels with unbeatable views, however, have nothing on this place. Not only does it have the best view, but it's also free. There's just one tiny, itsy-bitsy catch: You have to get here... which is no small order. Colleagues and family of Luca Vuernich built this nine-bed hotel atop the Alps in memory of the fallen climber. Twelve people built the hotel in a single day, bringing in supplies by helicopter. If you can get to the top of the Foronon Buinz Mountain, you get to stay f...
